How secure is my data Profile? All the data will be housed in a secure
database managed by the internal ADLA IT Department. Security of your
data is very important to us. Your data will not be used on an individual
basis or provided to an outside organization. If anyone is interested in
contacting a sister directly, we will not provide your information to
anyone. We will contact you to make any connections or requests.
Why are you asking for this data now? The department has been
managing sisters and congregational data on a series of spreadsheets
for many years. It has been our dream to have a database for all
information to be housed. This past year, a grant was provided to us by
an outside foundation to fund the development and maintenance of a
secure database. This will save us time and will increase our ability to
support sisters.
How will this data be used? As we continue to build the Community of
Communities, this data will be useful for us and we continue to build
Inter-Congregational connections. We also get requests for information to
help with financial grants from foundation partners. We do the best we
can to help, but our new profile database would make this so much
easier. Many of these partners have a love for sisters and want to help.
Having current and comprehensive data for all sisters in the ADLA will be
a great resource for us.
Is everyone completing the Profile? Our goal is for 100% participation
from our women religious to complete the profile. If you have challenges
with the profile, please reach out to our team. We encourage you to be
creative by helping your sisters complete their profile. The system
provides the ability for each sister to update or edit her data. Our goal is
to have a complete profile on our current sisters and any new sisters
residing in the ADLA.
What if I start the Profile and get called away? The system is set up to
timeout after inactivity. You may find if you go back to your work, you may
have to log back in. When you do log in, your previous work will be
automatically saved. If necessary, please feel comfortable doing this
Profile in periodic intervals.
What output can I expect from this? Since this is not a research survey,
you should not expect a report or presentation of any data. Your profile
will only be used internally or if we need to contact you or your
community.
What if I have a change to my data? You can contact the office and we
will help you or provide instructions on how to update your Profile.
